Several of Australia’s leading truck parts specialists have joined forces under the WANO banner to deliver a one-stop shop for all your Japanese and Asian commercial vehicle needs.

The new consortium is a division of the ever-expanding Bapcor Group and is made up of HIM Spares, Don Kyatt Queensland, He Knows Truck Parts, I Know Parts, Japanese Trucks Australia, Japanese Commercial Spares and Truck Parts Dubbo.

Mathew Cooper, executive general manager of Bapcor Mechanical, said WANO represents the beginning of a new and exciting chapter in Australia’s commercial vehicle parts business.

“Combining more than a half century of expertise and premium quality parts sourcing for Australia’s constantly growing Japanese and Asian commercial vehicle sector, WANO brings a new level of stockholding, customer service and convenience to this important automotive aftermarket sector through this new and unique national brand,” Cooper stated.

“In seeking to provide the best possible customer service and value to as many repairers as possible, we plan to extend the WANO store national footprint to reach 40 stores by 2025 to meet the demand of this growing automotive aftermarket sector.”

This new one-stop national parts destination provides Australia’s most comprehensive range of parts to suit Japanese and Asian commercial vehicle makes and models, said Bapcor.

Features include in-house workshops, external service agents, panel shops, cooling system specialists, auto electricians and tuners for commercial vehicles.

A one speed dial call to 1300 595 944 connects customers to a highly experienced parts interpreter and over 70,000 SKU lines across 15 locations, with more on the way.

“Driveline, body, suspension, chassis, electrics, cooling, lubrication, consumables. If it’s not in stock, WANO will source the part directly to minimise an operator’s down time,” said Bapcor in a media release.

“One call connects to the supply chains of seven of the biggest independent suppliers of Japanese and Asian commercial vehicles. Operators of Isuzu, Hino, Fuso, UD, Toyota, Nissan and LDV in light commercial classes are all covered.

“Independent servicing workshops can forget the 15 to 30 minute phone chase around for a single part that’s holding up the job. A single contact now links commercial vehicle owners and operators to Australia’s largest resource of aftermarket parts for commercial vehicles in the crucial last-mile logistics sector including couriers, delivery drivers, buses and charters.”
